Xero is sold in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US and many other countries. Plans, prices and which AI features you get differ by country and plan, so check the Xero site for your region.

Connect your bank feeds first. Everything else builds on them.

Set up bank rules for the regulars: rent, bank fees, subscriptions, wages.

Turn on automatic bank reconciliation per bank account if your plan has it. JAX, Xero's AI, only reconciles lines when it is highly confident and leaves the rest for you.

Send bills and receipts to your Xero Files inbox by email or upload, and let smart document capture read the details.

Review once a week. Each reconciled line shows how it was matched (Rule, Match, Memory, Prediction or Manual), so a person can check and undo anything odd.

Open source tools you can run yourself, no licence fees. You will need someone handy to set them up and keep them updated.
